Local Class A CDL Agriculture Driver 8/22/2018 Return

Gem State Staffing in Twin Falls is currently accepting applications for multiple seasonal – possible temporary-to-permanent – Class A CDL driving positions with a large, Jerome-based agriculture company. Employees will be assigned to work out of either Jerome, Hazelton, or Bell Rapids. Applicants must have a current Class A CDL with doubles/triples and tankers endorsements, Medical Card, and DMV record. No previous professional CDL driving experience is required, but agriculture driving and labor experience is preferred. The position requires significant physical labor in addition to/preparation for the driving, so applicants must be fit enough to lift, move, and stand repetitively. Overtime pay is available.

 

Job Description:

Drivers will meet at the work site daily (Jerome, Hazelton, or Bell Rapids) and help prepare/load ten-wheel or eighteen-wheel trucks for delivery. They will drive to farms across the Magic Valley and help customers load materials into their spreaders. Drivers may also be required to deliver chemicals to customers with the company pick-up.

 

Requirements:

Ability to safely operate tractor trailer and dump/pup trucks

Ability to work efficiently in a team

Ability to repetitively bend, twist, crouch, and stoop, as necessary

Ability to repetitively lift 50+ pounds, as necessary

Ability to drive and perform labor in any and all weather conditions

Ability to work safely within the established safety program

Possess own, reliable transportation to-and-from the work site

Possess a valid CDL (doubles/triples, tankers), current Medical card, and DMV driving record

Ability to pass pre-employment DOT drug test and background screening

 

Pay Rate: $13.00 – 15.00/hour, DOE

Shift: Days; starting between 6:00 AM – 7:00 AM

Hours: 40 – 50 hours/week, with overtime pay
